2012 Lunar Clubman CK – High Spec, Alde Heating, Motor Movers, End Bathroom
2012 Lunar Clubman CK – High Spec, Alde Heating, Motor Movers, End Bathroom A well-equipped and comfortable caravan with Alde wet central heating, full automatic motor movers, a spacious end bathroom and a heavy-duty chassis providing a generous 355kg payload and very stable towing. Professionally inspected in February 2026, with plenty of useful extras included. I’m selling my 2012 Lunar Clubman CK because I’ve recently moved into my new home and no longer need the caravan. I bought it in February 2026 after securing a new job as an electrical engineer just outside Aberdeen. Having been living in the Cotswolds and needing to start work quickly, I bought the caravan as a comfortable home while I looked for somewhere permanent to live. Having now found my house, it is surplus to requirements. Although I lived in it full-time, it has seen relatively little towing. I towed it approximately 500 miles from the Cotswolds to Scotland in one journey, with absolutely no issues, and it then remained on a hardstanding pitch until August, when I moved it a few miles to my new home. It tows very well, and I was impressed by how stable and composed it felt on the road. Although this is a 2012 caravan, its specification was one of the main reasons I chose it. Alde wet central heating: A proper central-heating system, similar to that found in a house, with hot fluid circulated through radiators beneath the sofas and in the bathroom. It is almost silent compared with blown-air heating, warms the interior surfaces and provides comfortable, even heat. It is also excellent for drying bathroom towels. Gas and electric heating: The Alde system can run on gas, electricity or both. Hot water: Integrated into the Alde system for showers, washing up and general use. Double-glazed windows: Helping with insulation and year-round comfort. Spacious end bathroom: A generous layout with a standard-sized shower and two hanging wardrobes. Full removable carpets: Included and generally in very good condition. Microwave: A useful addition not found in every caravan of this size. Fridge freezer: Works very well. On 230V mains electricity, it has frozen items to approximately -15°C on setting 3 out of 5. Full automatic motor movers: Working and available to demonstrate. Ideal for positioning the caravan on a driveway or manoeuvring in tight spaces. Original manuals: Included for the fitted equipment. The caravan uses insulated aluminium sandwich panels rather than the older fibreglass and timber construction found in some caravans. Combined with the double glazing and Alde heating, this makes it comfortable for extended stays and colder weather. The caravan is built on an upgraded heavy-duty chassis, giving it a generous payload and making it feel particularly stable and composed when towing. The manufacturer’s plate currently fitted to the caravan shows: MRO (Mass in Running Order): 1,140kg MTPLM (Maximum Technically Permissible Laden Mass): 1,495kg Payload: 355kg This provides plenty of capacity for clothing, food, equipment, leisure batteries and other holiday essentials. I have included a clear photograph of the manufacturer’s plate in the advert photos for reference. I was genuinely impressed by how well it handled during the approximately 500-mile journey from the Cotswolds to Scotland. The heavy-duty construction gives the caravan a robust feel and contributes to its stable towing characteristics. It is also fitted with AL-KO chassis control, designed to help manage caravan sway by applying braking intervention when required. My Jeep has a 7-pin towing socket, whereas this system requires a compatible 13-pin connection, so I have not been able to use it. Despite this, the caravan towed very well on my journey. This is a 14-year-old caravan, so it is not cosmetically perfect. I have tried to photograph the areas mentioned below so buyers can make an informed decision. Importantly, there is no mould or damp. Having previously lived in small spaces, including boats, I have always been very mindful of ventilation, moisture and keeping the caravan properly looked after. Exterior: Some small scuffs and dents consistent with age. I have done my best to photograph these. There is nothing that affects the structural integrity or weatherproofing of the caravan. The chrome-effect paint is also coming off the alloy wheels. Interior veneer: A few very small areas of veneer are damaged, and the edging strips on some cupboards have shrunk slightly. Shower: The sealant around the shower tray is beginning to crack with age, and one waterproof wall panel has cracks. I have repaired the affected areas using good-quality waterproof tape, but the finish is not particularly attractive. I would recommend renewing the affected panel and sealant as a DIY improvement. The chrome-effect finish on the shower head is also wearing. Kitchen sink: The enamel sink has some scuffs and one chip. This has not affected my use of it, but I have included it for completeness. Bathroom carpet: There are one or two stains, possibly toothpaste, which were present when I bought it. The carpet is removable and may benefit from cleaning. Exterior graphics: The decorative graphics on the left-hand side are peeling in places. They may be able to be glued back down, or removed completely with a steamer for a neater finish. This is cosmetic only. I mainly used the site shower facilities, so I did not prioritise cosmetic improvements to the shower. I have tried to be upfront about everything rather than hide any imperfections. Professionally inspected in February 2026. Brand-new 110Ah leisure battery fitted in February 2026. Full automatic motor movers, working and available to demonstrate. Two former keepers. I am the registered CRiS owner and have the paperwork to prove it. Original manuals for the fitted appliances and equipment. Two keys and two alarm fobs. Alko hitch lock. Spare wheel. The February inspection is a record of the caravan’s condition at that time, rather than a guarantee of its current condition. The caravan comes with a useful selection of accessories, so you will not need to source everything separately: Gas bottle Stabiliser leg tool Gas spanner Toilet chemicals Fresh-water, grey-water and black-water tanks Water pump Spare water pump Grey-water pipe Wheel chock/leveller Universal towing mirrors Step 25m electric hook-up cable I am including a spare water pump because there is nothing worse than a pump failing when you are on a remote, basic campsite. I know that from experience! This makes the caravan particularly suitable for someone starting out in caravanning who wants a well-equipped outfit without having to buy lots of extras straight away. I want buyers to have total confidence before booking a viewing, so I have uploaded a full set of 149 high-definition photos showing the interior, exterior, cosmetic areas mentioned in the advert and the manufacturer’s plate. The caravan is located just outside Aberdeen, but I regularly see family and friends in the Cotswolds. Subject to full payment being received in advance, I am happy to discuss delivering the caravan within 50 miles of the motorway between Inverurie and WR11 4HQ. Delivery is charged at 45p per mile to cover one-way fuel costs, as my towing fuel economy is approximately 17mpg. My Jeep has a large petrol engine and is therefore unusually thirsty when towing. I can travel via the M6 or the A1/M1, potentially covering much of England. Please get in touch with your location so we can discuss the route, mileage and delivery cost before agreeing anything. You are welcome to view the caravan and inspect it for yourself. I am happy to demonstrate the motor movers and answer questions about the equipment, condition and history. If you would prefer additional reassurance, I would also be happy to help organise an independent inspection and written report, provided the prospective buyer pays the inspection cost. I completely understand that not everyone will simply take my word for it, particularly when buying a caravan remotely or at this price. If you would like to carry out a CRiS check, please contact me and I can provide the chassis details needed to arrange one. Overall, this is a comfortable, high-specification caravan with some excellent features, particularly the Alde heating, spacious bathroom, heavy-duty chassis, generous payload and motor movers. It has been a very useful home for me while relocating for work, and I am now selling it simply because I no longer need it. Please get in touch if you are interested or would like to arrange a viewing. I also appreciate it is difficult to value caravans so I am open to offers.
